Here, again, is one of my music videos. This time I have chosen to give you 'To Cut a Long Story Short' (1980), one of my top 10 80's pop songs! Here we see a few of my visits to steam railways during 2006 and 2007.
In this 6 minute film we see steam engines hard at work and we hear some whistling. Also included is a clip of Gotherington on the Gloucetser Warwickshire Rly and a picture at the end of an idoit!

Celebrating 150 years of Railways In India. The first train ran between Bombay and Thane in 1853.
This locomotive was rehabilitated by Central Railway Locomotive shops Parel in 2003. After the heritage runs over Bombay-Thane section the locomotive was sent to the Northern Railway Shed at Rewari, from where it was used by the other zonal railways under variuos names such as "Sehanshan" etc for carrying put various steam joy ride trains, for the die hard sream fans.
The rehabilitation was carried out by the dedicated men at Locomotive shops Parel within a record time of around a month that included extensive research in locating the spare parts as the boiler tubes are hard to...

This short, silent film captures one of Britain's minor little railways: the Leek and Manifold Light Railway on the Staffordshire Moorlands. The railway opened in 1907, linking the villages of Waterhouses and Hulme End, and was built mainly for agricultural traffic, with a passenger service being a secondary consideration. Its route went through beautiful countryside in Staffordshire, and it is unfortunate that the intertitles state it as being shot in Derbyshire!
In 1934 the entire line was closed by the North Staffordshire Railway. There is little in the way of recorded film material of this quaint little train, so this gem gives an invaluable insight into the railway....
